CALVIN CRAIG HECK, 88, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday May 9, 2026, at home. Born on August 9, 1937, in Ellenboro, WV to William and Mildred (Moore) Heck. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Mildred (Moore) Heck, his wife Linda (Reese) Heck, a son Jim Heck Sr. and sister-in-law Carol (Lewis) Heck. He graduated from Follansbee High School class of 1957. He was married to Linda (Reese) Heck from August 30,1963 until her death in 2006. Calvin served 17 years in the US Army Reserves and obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant, before leaving to raise a family. He worked for 40 years for Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and retired in 2003 as an Engineer on the railroad. Survived in life by a brother W. Duane Heck; a son, Kevin Heck of Follansbee, WV; and a daughter, Michelle (Mike) Gossett of New Philadelphia, OH; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren and one on the way. A private visitation and funeral for family was held at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Rev. Dan Cooper officiating. Interment followed in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
