DORIS MARIE (RIFFLE) SNYDER, 88, of Windsor Heights, WV, passed away May 20, 2026. She was born October 21, 1937, in Orlando, WV, to the late William Layton and Bertha (Mick) Riffle. Doris loved being a housewife and mother. She enjoyed reading, quilting, going to church, and especially cooking when company was coming. She did not know a stranger and loved to talk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Freda (Riffle) VanKirk, Reda Gray Riffle, Ronald Riffle, Betty (Riffle) Stout, and Dana “Bud” Riffle; son, Johnny Snyder; and daughter, Beverly (Snyder) Ostrosky. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Jack Snyder, and daughter Rebecca Schultz (Donald) of Brookville, IN; daughter-in-law Robin (Hukill) Snyder of Wellsburg, WV; granddaughter Michelle Snyder- Temple, and great-grandson Jackson E. Temple of Greendale, IN; several treasured nieces and nephews; four very special friends from childhood: Patsy Reckart, Laurel Martin, Shirley Williams, and cousin Joy Keener; and her church family and friends. Visitation was held on Friday, May 22, 2026 until the time of the service, at Reasner Funeral Home, Wellsburg, with Pastor Jim Seabright officiating. Interment followed at Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Wellsburg First Church of God, 500 Bethany Pike, Wellsburg, WV, 26070.
