Charles “Chuck” Chivers

CHARLES “CHUCK” CHIVERS, 69, of Weirton, WV died peacefully at home on Monday, June 15, 2026. Born November 18,1956 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Thomas E. And Shirley (Smith) Chivers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his, brother-in-law, Danny Hukill, and niece, Lacie Jean Phillips. Chuck graduated from Brooke High School in 1974 and went on to attend Fairmont State College on a swimming scholarship. After several years he returned home to work as a supervisor at Gen-pak formerly known as Mammoth Plastic where he worked until the last day of operation. He then established a career as an electrician with Wheeling Nisshin and eventually land o lakes. In retirement, Chuck enjoyed collecting music from the “Good old Days” and rebuilding vintage guitars. He also enjoyed spending his time in nature, fishing and hiking, cooking for family, and rooting on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Chuck is survived by his daughters, Katie (Ryan) Hudson of Pittsburgh, PA and Marla and partner Tom Dittman of Greensburg, PA; stepdaughter, Rae Ann (Mike) Shafer of Monaca, PA; two brothers, Scott (Jennifer) Chivers and Russell Chivers both of Wellsburg, WV; and three sisters, Tamie J. Hukill, WV, Susan Kay Chivers, and Barbara Phillips all of Wellsburg; granddaughters, Alexis and Sophia Alquin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 3-6 p.m. at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Inurnment will be held privately at Brooke Cemetery at a later date.
