ELEANOR “BUBS” WILSON MANACK, 92, of Follansbee, WV, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on October 14, 1933, in Wellsburg, West Virginia, Eleanor lived a life centered on faith, family, and caring for others. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Raymond Manack, brothers Bernard Kazienko and John Paul Kazienko and her sister Marsha Kazienko. Those who knew Eleanor knew how deeply she loved Raymond and how much she missed him after his passing. Together, Eleanor and Raymond built a family that became the center of her world and her greatest source of pride. Eleanor dedicated 25 years of service as a nurse’s aide at Ohio Valley Hospital, where she cared for countless patients with compassion and kindness. She was a devoted member of Saint Anthony’s Church and found strength and comfort in her faith throughout her life. She is survived by her children: Anthony Manack (Debbie Black), Diana Fife, Susan Strayer (Michael Strayer), Raymond Manack (Diane Manack), and Christine Manack-Stover; her brothers Chick Kazienko, Thomas “Bones” Kazienko, and Michael Yonder (Darla Yonder); and her sister, Marian Kleiner. She was the proud grandmother of Dana King, Michelle King, Abigail Strayer, Andrew Strayer, Raymond Northcutt, and Mercedes Worthington (Michael Worthington). She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Alissa King, Orrin Newton, and Jocelyn King. Known affectionately as “Bubs,” Eleanor never met a stranger and never let anyone leave her home hungry. She loved opening her home to family and friends, especially during the holidays. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and she delighted in finding the perfect gifts for those she loved. She never forgot a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion. An exceptional cook, Eleanor brought generations of family together around her table. She enjoyed trips to the beach, soaking up the sunshine, and returning home with a beautiful tan. Her talent for crocheting was unmatched, and the blankets, decorations, and gifts she lovingly created will continue to comfort her family for years to come. She enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre, and could always be counted on to bring laughter and friendly competition to the table. Family members often joked that she could renege with the best of them and sandbag better than anyone else. Whether gathered around a card table, sharing stories with family, or celebrating a holiday, Eleanor’s quick wit, warm smile, and sense of humor made every occasion more memorable. She also adored Zoey, Chris’s little dog, who always brought a smile to her face. More than anything, Eleanor will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering love for her family, and her lifelong habit of putting others before herself. Her legacy lives on in the traditions she created, the memories she shared, and the family she cherished. Family and friends were received on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Reasner Funeral Home, Wellsburg. As Bubs loved Christmas, those who wished to participate were encouraged to wear a Christmas themed item to the visitation. A mass celebrating Eleanor’s life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 9 a.m. until the time of Liturgy of the Word with Mass at 10 a.m. at Saint Anthony’s Church, Follansbee with Father Gerald Muoka as Celebrant. Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Eleanor’s love remains with us always. She was deeply loved, will be profoundly missed, and will never be forgotten.
