Local Government to Receive Greater Share of Opiod-Related Settlements

Local governments in West Virginia are set to receive a larger portion of future opioid-related settlement funds than they have previously.
According to Attorney General J.B. McCuskey, this adjustment will significantly boost the amount of settlement money directed straight to state and local governments, enabling the communities most affected by the opioid epidemic to determine how to allocate these resources.
