LORETTA ANN CARROLL, 68, originally from Follansbee, WV, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2023, surrounded by family, in her home in Lynchburg, VA after a long, full, and blessed life. Loretta was born February 15, 1955, the daughter of the late Philomena and Alphonse Cilone of Follansbee. She was recently preceded in death by her sister-in-law Kay Cilone. Loretta is survived by David, her husband of 44 years; children: Ian (Amy) Carroll of Parkton, NC and Lauren (Alanmichael) Luck of Oklahoma City, OK; granddaughters: Claire, Kaiti, and Elaine Luck; siblings: Joe Cilone, Marie Fazi, and Pete (Sandy) Cilone; and loving nephews and nieces. Loretta was an outgoing, fun, and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend who was quick to laugh at herself and quicker to offer sympathy and kindness to others. Loretta graduated from Brooke High School in 1973. She was generous and passionate about hosting beautiful gatherings for friends, family, and her home church. The owner of Fine Interior Painting, Loretta created beautiful rooms for her clients. Loretta never met a stranger and could get anyone laughing within a few minutes. Loretta’s laugh and infectious spirit will be missed but will continue on in the hearts of the many lives she touched. A Christian by faith, a celebration of Loretta’s life will be held on June 24, 2023, at MOSAIC Church, Lynchburg, VA.
