The Wellsburg Kiwanis Club Duck derby was held on June 11 with car cruise, a hat contest, and the famous duck derby. One thousand ducks went into the river for the derby, with the winning duck bringing in $1,000 to Matt Serevicz. Other winners included Main Street Bank, Family Roots Farm, Evan Cuomo and Heidi Smith.
“It is amazing to see the excitement and support even in this ducky wet weather. We raised a gross amazing over 32,000 for our community” said Kiwanis CLub President Eric Fithyan.
