Vivian Marie (Wilson) Hunt

VIVIAN MARIE (WILSON) HUNT, 87, of Beech Bottom, WV, passed away on Independence Day, Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at her residence under the care of her family with the assistance of Amedisys Hospice. Vivian was born on April 13, 1936 in Brooke County. She was the daughter of the late James A. Wilson and Stella (Groch) Wilson. Vivian was a member of the Brooke County Senior Center and Castleman Run United Methodist Church. Many will remember Vivian for her dedication to St. Jude’s Children Hospital and the Kidney Foundation, always thinking about children and others first; but most of all, for her devotion and love of being an amazing wife, mom, grandma and great grandma. She will always be remembered. In addition to her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her three sons-in-law: Dwight Miller Sr., Randy Roxby and Robert Gear; a daughter-in-law, Jeanette Hunt; three grandchildren: Laura Gear, Joy Miller and Brad Mac Hunt; and three brothers: Raymond “Butch”, Fred and Gregory Wilson. Vivian is survived by her dedicated and loving husband of 68 years, Bernard E. Hunt Sr.; six children: Tina Waterhouse and her husband, Bruce, Tammy Gear, Sandy Miller and her husband, Dean, Bernard E. Hunt Jr., Carolin Roxby, and James Hunt and his companion, Michelle; 14 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; a sister, Joyce “Dolly” Wilson; a sister-in-law, Carol Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends were received on Thursday, July 6, 2023 and again on Friday, July 7, 2023 until the time of the funeral service, at the Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, with Chaplain John Hudnall officiating. Interment followed at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery, Beech Bottom.
