MARY LOU ROSSI, 88, of Weirton, WV, formerly of New Cumberland, WV, passed away on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Weirton Medical Center. She was born on July 5th, 1935, in Pittsburgh, PA, one of four children born to Alphonsus and Elizabeth Masterson Arnold. On September 5, 1963, Mary Lou embarked on a beautiful journey when she married Victor Rossi. Their love story began after a mere six months of dating. Victor, a licensed Insurance agent, served as the Secretary Treasurer for Weir Cove Moving and Storage, and Mary Lou was the heart and soul of their home. They were blessed with three children and five grandchildren. Mary Lou was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in New Cumberland, and the Immaculate Conception’s Women’s Club. She also enjoyed being a part of The Fun Seekers and the Sons of Italy. Mary Lou had an adventurous spirit and a love for travel. She cherished family vacations. Her devotion to her family was unwavering, and she delighted in attending her grandchildren’s activities. Mary Lou’s infectious laughter and zest for life were unparalleled. She had an innate ability to infuse joy into every moment, and her fun-loving nature endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Mary Lou was a beacon of positivity and love, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor on January 30, 2021 and her two brothers, James and Raymond Arnold. She will be remembered with love by her two daughters, Victoria (Kevin) Kozlowski and Valerie (James) Gump; her son, Vincent (Analiza) Rossi; her sister, Dorothy Rizzi; and her grandchildren, Kory and Kyle Kozlowski, Macey and Emily Gump and Maxwell McEndree Rossi. Visitation was held Sunday, October 1, 2023, at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, Weirton. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, October 2, 2023, at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, New Cumberland, with Rev. Fr. Bill Matheny presiding.
