Bob and Brenda met in England while Bob was serving in the U.S. Air Force. Brenda followed Bob to the U.S. and they married in 1958. After living in Massachusetts and Ohio, they together labored to build their “house on the hill.” Brenda loved cultivating her gardens and pots with gorgeous flowers and together they made their property look like a park in all its splendor with trees, hedges, bordering rhododendrons, bird baths and a bubbling fountain. Brenda learned to sew at a young age and honed that skill throughout her life making clothes, Raggedy Anns and Andys, window treatments and many other things she skillfully whipped up. Brenda loved decorating, fashion, and shopping with her favorite people. Brenda will be deeply missed by all who loved her…the epitome of a lovely English lady. People were always telling her, “I love your accent!” Brenda is preceded in death by her mother and father, Jane and Bert Liggins, her sister Milly, and her two brothers, Ron and Gilbert. Brenda’s sister Hilda lives in Connecticut. Brenda was a member of Weirton Heights Church of Christ. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the sweet ladies who helped with respite care and provided cups of tea and comfort to Brenda during this past year. Also, Gallagher Hospice was a huge blessing to them since January with their always-available help and compassion. To those who offer up prayers on our behalf, we are forever grateful.
