MARSHALL E. SPENCER, 88, of Weirton, WV passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Weirton Medical Center. He was born March 15, 1935 in Calhoun County, WV, son of the late Dewey and Dora Walker Spencer. He was also preceded in death by 4 brothers and 2 sisters. He was a son, husband, father, Pap and Pap-Pap. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Nada Spencer; daughter, Renee Harper (Myron); sons, Brad Spencer (fiancée Lisa Shattuck) and Bart Spencer (Jan); grandchildren, Jason Harper(Kristin), Erin Cox(Matthew), Raquel Spencer(Alex Langlinais), Chelsea Spencer(Danny Cook), Sabrina Mitchell (John), Amanda Eckersberg (John II); and great-grandchildren, Logan Harper, Mollie Harper, Eden Cox, Levi Cox, Alyxandra Mitchell, Oliver Mitchell, Jolynn Eckersberg, and Mylan Eckersberg. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Weirton. A family service is being planned at a later date. Marshall was employed by Weirton Steel for 46 years. He worked in the Boiler House and was the General Foreman for a period of time. He also was an Exxon Dealer in Follansbee, WV. He moved to Weirton in 1954 and has been a resident since then. He was a loyal member of the Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church, served as a Deacon and President of the Pairs and Spares Class. He has many fond memories of his time worshipping with the congregation and making lifetime friends with the members. Marshall was dedicated to his wife, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He wanted to make sure his family was always taken care of. He often told others how much he loved his family.
