WILLIAM “SAM” JASPER MCQUILLIAN, 56, of Weirton, WV, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV. Sam was born on June 29, 1967, in Wellsburg, WV. He was the son of the late Floyd McQuillian Sr. and Wanita (Dobbins) McQuillian. Sam worked as a handyman and was a member of the Pentecostal Church. In addition to his parents, Sam was preceded in death by his three siblings, Tony “Babe” Dobbins, Michael Crumm, and Alice Florine McQuillian, and five step-siblings Robert, Becky, Jerry, and Richard Tredway and Raynell Reintezel. Sam is survived by his wife of 33 years, Elizabeth (Huffine) McQuillian of Weirton, WV; four children: Katisha, Latoya Shae Huffine, Shawn Michael Fowler, and Lorray Elizabeth McQuillian; seven grandchildren: KiYana, Jayden, JaVonne, Aaliyah, Ja’Niyah, Le’Moni and Dakota; seven siblings: Judy Dobbins, James “Buck” Crumm, Tom McQuillian, Donna Anthony, Chuck Dobbins, Terry Dobbins, and Floyd McQuillian Jr.; a step brother, Harry Tredway; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends were received on Friday, November 3, 2023 until the time of the funeral service, at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee. Sam gave the gift of life through the Center for Organ Recovery and Education to complete his final gift his final deed.
