SANTA (CHIRICO) TRIPODI, 95, of Wintersville, OH formerly of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Valley Hospice Care Center North with her family by her side. She was born on December 19, 1928, in Reggio Calabria, Italy a daughter of the late Antonino and Maria (Campolo) Chirico. In addition to her parents, Santa is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Tripodi; two brothers, Santo and Antonino Chirico both of Italy; and a son-in-law, Mark Birch. She was a devoted homemaker, taking wonderful care of her family. She was a faithful member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and a member of the Sister’s of the Garibaldi. In her spare time, she was a seamstress and loved doing needle work. Santa is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Joe) Lemasters and Diana (Richard) Lash both of Wintersville, OH; one granddaughter, Maria (Derek) Costlow of Steubenville, OH; one step-grandson, Brandon (Jackie) Lash of Imperial, PA; a brother, Carmelo (Norella) Chirico of Reggio Calabria, Italy; three step great granddaughters; several nieces and nephews of Italy; and eight grand puppies. Visitation was held on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee and again on Friday, January 26, 2024 until the time of Catholic Funeral Mass, with Father Jude Perera officiating, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee. Entombment followed at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Trinity Tony Teramana Medical Oncology Center or Valley Hospice Care Center North. Arrangements were entrusted to Mullenbach Funeral Home.
