FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT TRADER, 87, of Colliers, WV left this world on Friday, February 23, 2024, at his son, Tom and Doris Traders home in Paden City, WV. Franklin was born on November 22, 1936, in Proctor Creek, WV, a son of the late Frank and Lula (Butcher) Trader. In addition to his parents Franklin is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Esta Ramona (Hurst) Trader on March 19, 2019; a brother, Johnny Trader; and six sisters: Mae, Velma, Irene, Pearl, Lucy, and Leevy. Franklin proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a retired custodian for the Brooke County Board of Education with 25 years of service. He was a proud Husband, Dad, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. Franklin is survived by two children, Thomas (Doris) Trader of Paden City, WV and Kathy Clark of Follansbee, WV; four grandchildren: Thomas (Miranda) Trader, Jr., Matthew (Amanda) Trader, Chelsea (Robert) Browning, and Heather (Eric) Hancher; and five great grandchildren: Courtny, Aaron, Nathan, Violet, and Remington. Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 and again on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 until the time of the funeral service, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Interment followed at St. John Haven of Rest Cemetery, Colliers. Full military honors were conducted by the United States Army and the Ohio Valley Veteran Memorial Squad.
