This week, the Brooke County Republican Party announced its endorsement of Kris Warner for Secretary of State in the upcoming primary election. This pivotal endorsement comes at a critical juncture in the campaign, underscoring Kris Warner’s unwavering commitment to conservative principles and his proven track record of effective leadership.
The announcement from Brooke County comes on the heels of a pending vote among the Greenbrier County Republican Executive condemning Warner’s opponent, Doug Skaff.
“Across West Virginia, county parties are voicing their opposition to Doug Skaff’s candidacy, denouncing him as a “fake Republican” who lacks the integrity and authenticity required to serve as Secretary of State,” Warner stated.
Last month, the Kanawha County Federation of Republican Women voted on a motion to formally remove Doug Skaff as an associate member of the group and return a donation he had recently made. Former West Virginia Republican Party Chairwoman, Elgine McArdle, in one of her last official acts, called upon individual counties to denounce Skaff’s candidacy—citing her own public condemnation for his candidacy.
At a time when trust in elected officials is paramount, the Brooke County Republican Party proudly stands behind Kris Warner as a candidate of unwavering integrity and principle.
“I am a lifelong Republican and have spent the last 25 years helping to build this party into what it is today. During that time I have been a staunch defender of true conservative values. As the next Secretary of State, I will fight for all West Virginian’s by securing our elections, removing barriers for new and existing businesses, and pushing back against federal overreach, “Warner said.
