KATHLEEN MAE SAFREED, 97, of Wheeling, WV passed away on February 14, 2024 at Wheeling Continuous Care. She was born March 1, 1926 as the daughter of the late Sherman and Cecelia VanSickle. Along with her parents, she is preceeded in death by her husband, Bill Safreed. Kathleen was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness by faith. She lived her life in Wardwood, WV. She retired from Dieckmann’s Florist, where her garden was featured in Better Homes and Gardens magazine. Dancing was her passion. Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Rosilee and the late Donald England; son, Ron Safreed; eight granddaughters: Lori, Jennifer, Treesa, Michell, Milinda, Darlene and the late Brenda and Becky; and many loving family members. Per the request of the family, there was no visitation.
