VIOLET FLORENCE STINOSKI, 101, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Weirton Geriatric Center. She was born on February 26, 1923, in Follansbee, WV, a daughter of the late Nunzio and Christina (D’Aurora) Tacozza. In addition to her parents Violet is preceded in death by her husband, John E. Stinoski, Sr.; two brothers, Tony, and Dan Tacozza; and two sisters, Helen Allen, and Mariann Tacozza. Violet graduated from Follansbee High School Class of 1941 and was a member of the Community of Christ Church of Wellsburg, WV. She was a homemaker. Violet is survived by her only son, John E. (Jeannie) Stinoski, Jr. of Follansbee, WV; two grandsons, Matthew (Christy) Stinoski of Morgantown, WV and Ryan (Christine) Stinoski of Mechanicsburg, PA; two great grandchildren, Mattea and Mia Stinoski; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A private service was held at the convenience of the family, with Pastor Joy Leasure officiating at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee. The family would like to thank Dr. Saieed, the staff at Weirton Geriatric Center, and Scott Roach at Valley Hospice for all the care they gave Violet over the last few years.
