The Brooke-Hancock-Jefferson Planning Commission has received a $65,524 grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission.
U.S. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced a total of $731,738 awarded for eight West Virginia projects.
The funding will support increasing staffing and strengthening administrative capacities for eight Local Development Districts across the state.
“The Appalachian Regional Commission’s continued investment in revitalizing and strengthening Appalachia is great news for West Virginia and the entire region. The funding announced today will help increase staffing and bolster administrative capabilities for eight local districts across our great state,” said Manchin.
“I look forward to seeing the positive impacts of these projects and, as a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, I will continue advocating for resources to boost economic growth across Appalachia.
