JAY D. RECK, 78, passed away peacefully at home in Wellsburg, WV on December 26, 2024. Jay was born in Wheeling, WV on November 10, 1946, to John Reck Jr. and Dorothy (Frazier) Reck. Jay worked at Koppers Inc. for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family. He was a member of the Sugar Run Lodge. Jay is survived by his wife, Karen (Schwertfeger) Reck and his granddaughter Ashley Eby-Schmidlen and husband Joe. He is also survived by his sister, Beatrice Lish and her husband, Edward Lish. Jay was preceded in death by his parents, son, John Jay Reck, daughter, Nikki Eby, and brother, John Reck III. Private family services were held in Jay’s honor at Reasner Funeral Home, Wellsburg.
