JULIANA “JULIE” (PREKUP) PETRUCCIOLI, 78, of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on December 8, 1946, Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Andrew and Audrey (Bishop) Prekup. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, John Lee “Pepe” Petuccioli on August 28, 2018. She graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1964. Julie was very active at St. John the Evangelist Church and school when her boys were in school and even after and helped raise money for the church and school for many years. Over the years she and her husband John played music at several events and later she would sing and play music for the residents at Weirton Geriatric Center where she was a resident herself. Julie is survived by two devoted sons, John Lee (Darlene) Petruccioli, III of Colliers, WV and Michael Andrew Petruccioli of Wellsburg, WV; three brothers: John (Shirley) Prekup of Wellsburg, Larry (Ruth) Prekup of Follansbee, WV, and Andrew Prekup of Bergholz, OH; one sister, Susan (Tom) Brown of Tampa, FL; one brother-in-law, James Petruccioli of Wellsburg; two sisters-in-law, Nancy (Gary) Reed of Wellsburg and Judith (Larry) Foster of Vermillion, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee, with a prayer service immediately following at the funeral home with Rev. Brian Knight officiating. A Catholic funeral mass was celebrated on Friday, January 31, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Follansbee, with the Rev. Father Justin Golna as celebrant. Interment followed in Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mullenbach Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
