BISHOP ALBERT LEWIS MITCHEM, 51, of Weirton, WV died on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. Born December 1, 1973 in Welch, WV a son of the late Rife and Anna (Nichols) Mitchem. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Greg Beggs. He graduated in 1992 from Montcalm High School in Montcalm, WV. He attended Bluefield State College. Albert was currently serving as Bishop of the Promise of Victory Church in Weirton, WV for over 21 years and was looked up to by many and was an ordained minister in the Church of God out of Cleveland, TN. Surviving is his wife of 31 years, Amanda (Blevins) Mitchem at home; three children: Alyssa (Mason) Bates of St. Augustine, FL, Jared (Rachel) Mitchem of Cleveland, TN, and Hannah Mitchem at home; two sisters, Cynthia Rose of Bluefield, WV and Nancy Andrews of Wolfe, WV; one brother, Dale Beggs of Galveston, TX; one granddaughter, Vada Mitchem; and his church family.
