Breanna Lynne Arthurs

BREANNA LYNNE ARTHURS, 28, of Wellsburg, WV, and New Alexandria, OH. She left us too soon on Friday, February 28, 2025, following a tragic ATV accident in Freeport, OH. Born on August 15, 1996, in Wheeling, WV, Breanna was the daughter of Richard Arthurs and Julie Devore (Hayes). She was welcomed into heaven by her paternal grandparents, George and Alice “Bunnie” Arthurs, her cousin, Mark Schofield and her furry companions Sprocket and Rowdy. Breanna was a proud graduate of Buckeye Local High School, Class of 2014. Like many young adults, she took time to find her path, studying at West Liberty University and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science before discovering her passion for helping others. She became a certified EMT and later took on the important role of a Medical Examiner in Brooke County, WV. She also worked as a safety manager for C&K Industries in Burgettstown, PA. Her heart belonged to her family, her friends, and her beloved Ohio State Buckeyes. If she wasn’t cheering them on, she was making memories with those she loved, never missing an opportunity to enjoy life. Breanna never met a stranger—if you met her once, you were her friend for life. She leaves behind her father, Richard (Clarissa) Arthurs of Wellsburg, WV; her mother, Julie (Nick) Devore of Georges Run, OH; her brother, Ethan Arthurs of Wellsburg; step brother, Coletin Devore; step sister, Nicolette Devore and her companion, Mark Guglielmo; her grandparents, Nancy and Larry Rodgers and Mahlon Hayes of Wellsburg and Denver and Jill Ray of Follansbee, WV; her uncles: Steven (Lauren) Hayes, George (Lisa) Arthurs, David Arthurs, and Chris (Karen) Ray; aunts: Monica (John) Sutphin and Rachelle Comer; cousins; her best friend who was like a brother, Cody (Elizabeth) Rice; and many more dear friends, too many to name. She also leaves behind her cherished fur babies, Posty and Malone, who brought her so much joy. Visitation and celebration of Breanna’s life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 1-5 p.m., at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Rev. Larry Garrison officiating. In true Breanna fashion, after the service, friends and family are welcome to gather at the Crooked Dock in Wellsburg, her favorite hangout, to continue sharing memories. Please wear your favorite Ohio State gear in her honor. She will be laid to rest privately at Kadesh Chapel Cemetery in Beech Bottom, WV, next to her beloved grandmother, Bunnie.
