Pull Up A Chair

I Hope you are not bored with Boron, but here we go. About ten years ago I had a hair analysis done on myself to see what minerals my body needed. A doctor friend of mine has a business called “healthy cells for life”. He sends the samples to a lab and the testing allows you to see the history of your health through your hair. It doesn’t even require a follicle or root. Just a little clip close to the scalp and that is sufficient to get a good sample of the cells showing the pattern of deficiencies or plentifuls. I remember I was low on Boron.
What I learned about Boron is that it is a very much ignored trace mineral that is better for your bones than calcium!! It can be found in many foods. The main sources of Boron would be: apples, oranges, red grapes, pears, plums, kiwis, dates, raisins, avocados, onions (there’s our onion shining bright again!), tomatoes, potatoes, nuts, lentils, chickpeas, red kidney beans, and even olive oil. That is a long list of great places to find Boron.
So what does Boron do for us? Glad you asked. Bone support is number one to strengthen and minimize chances of osteoporosis and arthritis. It also helps our body to metabolize other minerals such as calcium, magnesium and copper! It can boost hormones to a healthy level, especially estrogen or testosterone.
The absorption of magnesium is important for bone and teeth health. So if you are low on Boron and you are taking magnesium supplements, they may not be doing you a bit of good, unless you have enough Boron in your body to make it work for you! Wow…. So, the saying really is true, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away!” You can get Boron supplements too. There is so much to learn about our bodies. I also know that Vitamin C doesn’t do its duty unless you take it with a protein. It needs protein available, or your body won’t absorb or use it.
Did you know the laundry detergent called BORAX has one ingredient on the label? It says Boron. There is so much information online about Borax. Its chemical formula is Na2B4O7 10H2O which means it is comprised of sodium, boron, oxygen and hydrogen! Wow. So, now here we are with yet another cleaning agent that is ok to ingest and that is good for our bodies! The other being Baking Soda, which we also have talked about previously.
If you were to soak in the tub with Borax and Baking Soda, imagine how healthy you will be. Your skin is able to absorb and disburse these trace minerals to where they need to go in your body. Put a little pinch of each in your morning smoothie and you will be really good to go! That is so crazy to think about. From the laundry room to your breakfast shake. Yikes. Sounds dangerous doesn’t it.
We all know how dangerous laundry soap is to ingest. This topic might make you a little skeptical and uncomfortable. But I think that is part of the conditioning we have had pressing us to veer away of natural things that are actually good for us. Boron is natural trace mineral and our bodies need it to be strong. Sodium bicarbonate is needed to keep inflammation in check and our immune system working. So, the next time you are in the store and purchasing laundry detergent. read the Borax label and see what you think. Don’t take my word for it. Do what you think is right for you. Or you can order expensive capsules of Boron online and add Boron into you life that way. But most likely, the capsules are full of Borax and are priced four times the amount for the small amount in each. Break one open and compare the contents to the contents in your box in the laundry room. Your findings should be interesting. Let me know what you think. Let me know what your findings are.
I am sure you have appreciated learning about Boron and Borax despite the cringing you have done while reading onward about it. There are so many other uses for it as well. Happy researching!
