Brooke Hills Playhouse announces auditions for its 54th season which promises to delight and entertain all.
All auditions will be held on Saturday, April 12, at Brooke Hills Park Clubhouse, and will consist of cold readings from the script.
Auditions for “9 to 5 The Musical” will be held at 10 a.m. With music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and the book written by Patricia Resnick, this delightful musical follows three unlikely friends who take control of their office and learn there is nothing they can’t do, even in a man’s world.
Eight roles and an ensemble cast are needed. In addition to reading from the script, actors should have a song to perform with a background track. Performance dates are July 11-13 and 18-20.
Auditions for “Steel Magnolias,” written by Robert Harling, will be at noon. This 1980s classic reveals the story of six Southern women as they navigate life’s joys and sorrows within a Louisiana beauty salon.
Six women of various ages are needed. Performance dates are May 30-June 1 and June 6-8.
Auditions for “No Sex Please, We’re British,” written by Anthony Marriott and Alistair Foot, will be held at 2 p.m. This comedy tells the story of a young bride who lives above a bank with her assistant bank manager husband. She innocently places a mail order for Scandinavian glassware but receives Scandinavian pornography.
Three women and seven men are needed. Performance dates are June 20-22 and 27-29.
