CHERYL LOUISE BLAND, 65, of Wellsburg, WV passed away peacefully at Weirton Hospital surrounded by family on Thursday, June 26, 2025. She was born on February 26, 1960, in Wheeling, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Louis Branch and Clara Capp Branch. Cheryl was a devoted Brooke County Teacher for 40 years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Cheryl was a hard worker who was always willing to help anyone. She enjoyed exercising and going on long walks with her dogs. She had a great sense of fashion, loved shopping, and could find a sale anywhere. Her family was her primary importance. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Mark Branch. Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, Jeffrey Bland; her three children: Cody Bland of Follansbee, WV, Christa Bland (partner Brian Hornak) of Arlington, VA, and Cassidy (Cole) Roberts of Pittsburgh, PA; two Goldendoodles, Crosby and Camilla; one brother-in-law, Todd (Kim) Bland; two sisters-in-law, Lisa (John) Paesano and Janet Branch; and countless aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Visitation was held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Reasner Funeral Home, Wellsburg. Funeral Liturgy with Mass was held on Monday, June 30, 2025, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Wellsburg, with Father Justin Golna as Celebrant.
