SHANNON MAE ELIZABETH STEWART, 41, of Greensburg, PA formerly of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Monday, June 30, 2025, at U.P.M.C. Presbyterian in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born on April 9, 1984, in Wheeling, WV a daughter of James and Pamela (Kotch) Stewart of Wellsburg, WV. Shannon graduated from Brooke High School in 2002 and later from West Liberty University in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in education focusing on special education. She was a member of the Vineyard Church in Wheeling, WV. Shannon was a social butterfly, but her family was the most important part of her life, and she loved to dote on her nieces and nephews every chance she had. Throughout her life she endured a great deal of health issues but in the end, she gave the gift of life through organ donation. Shannon had the biggest heart and will always be loved and never forgotten. As I walk through these days of sadness my heart will know that I was thankful to get to know the most loving and caring person I ever met. She will be missed by David John, fiance, and mother Mary John, sister Tracy John, and family. We will carry the love in our hearts until we are together again. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, James and Virginia Kotch and paternal grandparents, James and Margaret Stewart. In addition to her parents, Shannon is survived by her fiance, Dave John of Greensburg, PA; three sisters, Colleen (Kevin) Ingram of Richmond, OH, Jamie (John) Polverini of Steubenville, OH, and Shawn (CJ) Gottardi of Avella, PA; and two nieces and a nephew, Reagan, Rory, and Maggie A celebration of Shannon’s life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 12-3:33 p.m., the hour of her birth, at her parents home in Wellsburg.
