CAROLYN JOYCE (WHITE) BATTALIO, 73, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away peacefully at her home on July 14, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. Born on July 24, 1951, in New Martinsville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles White and Alice (Litman) Lamb. Carolyn was a proud graduate of Follansbee High School, Class of 1969. Her deep faith guided her life, and she was a devoted member of the First Baptist Church of Wellsburg, WV. Carolyn dedicated many years to her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Southern Care in Washington, where she provided compassion and care to those in need. She is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph Richard Battalio of Wellsburg, WV; six children: Kelley Battalio of Wellsburg, Mark (Brenda) Battalio of Largo, FL, Shelly (Larry) Aracich of Wellsburg, Michael Battalio of Peachtree City, GA, and Susan Miller and Carrie Battalio, both of Wellsburg. Also surviving is her brother, Charles (Cindy) White of Middlebourne, WV and eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren whom she adored. There was no visitation. All services and inurnment were held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were under the direction of Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee.
