TRESA JOY BUCHANAN, 55, of Follansbee, WV died tragically on Friday, July 25, 2025, at her home. She was born on June 9, 1970, in Wheeling, WV a daughter of Wanda Joy Lazear of Wellsburg, WV. Tresa is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Arabella Marie Buchanan and her furry companion, Paislee Marie Buchanan. Tresa graduated from Brooke High School in 1988. She retired from R.B. Cable Connection where she worked as office manager and was co-owner. Tresa attended the Wellsburg Church of the Nazarene. Tresa cared deeply for everyone she met and had a lot of compassion for her family and friends. In addition to her mother, Tresa is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, Richard Buchanan at home; two sons, Christopher (Cortney) Buchanan of Weirton, WV and Bud (Kaydee) Smith of Mingo Junction, OH; three grandchildren, Colton, Callen, and Ellionna; one sister, Kelly Kausky of Wellsburg, WV; two nephews, Ken Durbin and Dennis Bernardi; and many friends. Visitation was held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee, where funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11 a.m., with Rev. John Keener officiating.
