RANDALL “RANDY” SCOTT GAMBLE, SR., 68, of Follansbee, WV, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at his residence. Randy was born on June 25, 1957 in New Kensington, PA. He was the son of the late Fred and Geraldine A. (McCune) Gamble. Randy was a proud graduate of Canton South High School, Class of 1976. During his high school years, he earned his certificate in radio and TV repair—an early testament to his hands-on skills and love of technology. From November 1981 to November 2000, Randy worked at Vetrotex CertainTeed, where he dedicated nearly two decades to manufacturing fiberglass. He was known by his coworkers as a hardworking and reliable team member. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, Randy cherished taking his kids to training camps each summer, creating memories they will always carry with them. He also found peace and joy at the lake, spending countless hours fishing. In his younger years, he had a passion for aquariums and loved caring for his fish tanks. Randy’s love of music was legendary—he always had his stereo system playing, and he proudly owned one of the best record collections around. Music was more than a hobby; it was a part of who he was. A beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Randy’s greatest joys in life came from the people he loved. He had a special talent for home repairs and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Randy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his cat, T. and his best friend, Jay Stuckey. Randy is survived by his three children, Teresa Gamble, Rachel Gamble and Randy Gamble, Jr.; a dog, Cherry; four grandchildren: Adrianna Swartz, Anthony Bruce and twins, Aiden and Aaron Bruce; eight siblings: Barbara Fitzwater, Gordan Gamble, Linda Patterson, Tim Gamble, Tina Gregory, Tracy Gamble, Victoria Gibson and Billie Jo Gamble; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends were received on Monday, August 4, 2025 until the time of Concluding Prayers at the James Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Funeral Celebrant Eric Fithyan.
