I have received some great feedback on recent articles herewith. “Dear Hettie, I really loved your information about spruce oil. I have now ordered some and look forward to trying it. I like you, believe it will bring back good family holiday memories as well. Thank you for all you do. Keep the information coming.” G.R.
“I still look forward to your articles. I am so glad you started doing this column. I can’t believe you are able to talk about so many subjects that are so interesting and that not many people know about. But somehow, they are articles that are always relevant or helpful.” S.F.
“ Didn’t know how much I didn’t know until you started bringing things to light. Yes, sure we can Google stuff and look stuff up, but what you do is spark light and then we know what to examine further. Otherwise, how do we know where to begin? Thank you for your ever faithful words of wisdom and thought provoking column.” E.T.
“Nice column. I have had the black pepper oil but didn’t know about the pink pepper oil. Very cool!” W.B.
Thanks everyone. I enjoy serving you each week. I did however, have to cheat once or twice last month and repeat a previous column of goodness. I was in the process of moving and just couldn’t get the block of time to do a decent job. So, I opted to repeat from a year ago. I’ll not share which ones they were because for all I know, they were new to you!
Do any of you read about quantum physics? There is a lot of great information on it these days. One thing I have noticed, and quantum physics seems to have an explanation for, is that time is flying by. I mean it is moving moving moving. How could it possibly be the end of August already.
I remember the older folks of my youth saying things like the older you get the faster time goes by. And time flies when you’re having fun. They seem like silly things to say. And why would that even be a real thing. And Einstein’s theory of relativity fits in here too. He reported and documented lots of things about time.
And then there is supposedly all these planetary line ups and interactions going on that also have a cause and effect on us. Just like high tide and low tide and all the things in the Farmer’s Almanac about when to plant, when not to plant, how to plant, what to plant. All are according to the moon and its cycles. And also when according to the moon that you should pour cement, put in a post, dig potatoes, and on and on.
Anyhow….. with all these rhythms and does and don’ts it’s pretty amazing to learn that “time” is just a construct here on earth. And when we think of the after life and eternity…. Time does not exist. And I am sure you have heard, “God’s time is not our time”…. “All in God’s timing”? So, why does time seem to speed up as we get older? Because I can vouch for the truth in that now that I am older. And why does time speed by when we are having fun? Because I can vouch for that also.
There have been times when I have been on vacation and it flies by and then I am back home to the same old grind. But when anticipating on going and making all the plans….. time seems to stand still!!! Or how about if you have to wait in a line! It doesn’t matter what kind of line…. It can be to get gas. To get through an intersection, at the grocery store, or how about the doctor’s office or DMV? Haha….. You know that kind of time standing still that I am talking about. Why? Why does it have to be this way? How is it so?
TEN minutes does not always equal TEN minutes. It really does depend on what you are doing. And now with solar flares and planets doing weird things they have not done before or at least not in 100s or 1000s of years…. We really have the cards stacked against us.
One time when my son was in his teens, he said something very profound, and I have always thought about this. He has always been a deep thinker and intuitive in many ways. He said, “ I think love makes time go faster.” What? How? He couldn’t explain how this would occur, but he had been noticing that when it was something he didn’t want to be doing (and he hated it) that time would drag on and on.
But when it was something he loved, like a football game or time with friends, time would speed by. So, his theory is that when love is involved it effects time in a way that speeds it up. It warps time. Which would mean time does not have as much power as love. Think about those statements and see if he isn’t right. I think they make a lot of sense to my brain. If it isn’t something you love or like then time is in charge. If it IS something you love or like(like being a form of love) then love is in charge and time disappears!
Send in your notions and comments to [email protected]. I will include them in the next available column as per their arrival relative to the publication deadline of Tuesday by 12 p.m. of the same week. If you wish to be anonymous, let me know. Kindness is contagious~*
