BARRY STEVEN DERNOVSEK, 65 of Weirton, WV passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at his home, after battling a long illness. He was born on June 2, 1959, in Washington, PA a son of the late Albin F. and MaryLou (Geisler) Dernovsek, Sr. In addition to his parents Barry is preceded in death by one brother, Albin W. Dernovsek, Jr. He graduated from South Fayette High School Class of 1977 and Youngstown State University with a master’s in engineering. Before retiring, Barry worked as a thermal engineer. Barrys career allowed him to travel all over the world where he got to meet numerous people. He is survived by three siblings: Mary (Gary) Graminski of Upper St. Clair, PA, Linda (Domenic) Gianotti of Weirton, WV, and James (Elaine) Dernovsek of Myerstown, PA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. There was no visitation. All services and inurnment were held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were under the direction of Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee.
