PUBLIC NOTICE

The City of Follansbee will be accepting Letters of Interest for volunteer positions on the Follansbee Park Advisory Board. The advisory board will work with city officials to guide decisions about parks, recreation, and green spaces. The board does not have direct spending or policy-making authority, but they provide valuable input, community representation, and recommendations.
The park advisory board will be made up of five (5) volunteers, one from each city ward, appointed by the respective council members. The city manager will oversee the park advisory board with oversight from the city council. The term of the appointment will be for two (2) years.
Members will attend quarterly meetings and additional meetings as needed. Meetings will be open to the public.
