NOLEN THOMAS GREENE, JR., whom many knew as Tom or Greenie, 86, of Wellsburg, WV passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. He was born on November 18, 1938, in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Nolen T. Green Sr. and Mary Ida (Givens) Colley. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters: Norma May Queen and Renee Crawford; and one brother William Bill Colley, Jr. Nolen graduated from Wellsburg High School class of 1957. After school he went to work for Weirton Steel where he retired after 40 years of dedication. In his spare time he was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hunt, he was a member of the Wellsburg Fire Department and the American legion Post 34. Nolen is survived by his former wife and current caregiver, Dorothy Virginia (Lauck) Greene at home; one daughter, Pamela (Cecil) Toner of Wellsburg, WV; one granddaughter, Kylie Toner and fiancé Christopher Veltri of Weirton, WV; two brothers: Richard(Karen) Colley of Florida and Rodney (Cheryl) of Weirton; and one, sister Christine Huff of North Carolina. The family would like to give special thanks to Amedysis Hospice, nurse Amber and aid Montana for their excellent care of Nolen during this time. There was no visitation. All services and inurnment were held privately. Arrangements were under the direction of Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee.
