JESSICA IRENE (HUFF) HILL, 84, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Wellsburg Healthcare Center. Jessica was born on November 17, 1940. She was the daughter of the late John Sherman Huff and Inez (Scott) Huff. Jessica will always be remembered for her kind and caring heart. She had a gentle spirit that touched everyone she met, and her love for animals — especially cats — was truly special. She never turned away a stray, always opening her home and heart to any cat in need. Her compassion, quiet strength, and unconditional love made the world a better place for both people and animals. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and an endless supply of nieces, nephews and purring companions who were lucky enough to be loved by her. Jessica was preceded in death by her six sisters: Racheal Reed, Evelyn Johnson, Mary Ann Breaky, Ina “Nancy” Huff, Pauline DeTemple and Shirley Oakes; and three brothers, Don, John and Alex Huff. Jessica is survived by a step-son, Terry Hill and wife, Renee of Battle Creek, MI; a sister-in-law, Jeje Huff; and numerous nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, a host of friends, and her beloved cats. The Chambers Funeral Home of Wellsburg, was honored and privileged to serve the Hill family with a private cremation.
