MICHAEL JOHN MESSAR, JR., 85, of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at home. Born on October 9, 1940, in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Michael John and Catherine (Vidonic) Messar, Sr. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant brother, Frank Messar, and an infant grandson, Jamonson Goodrich. Mike graduated from Warwood High School. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army. He worked for Bell Atlantic Telephone for many years before getting hurt and later as a self-employed realtor and for Century 21. In his retirement he worked as a car dealer. Mike was a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing for many years in the Wellsburg Elks League and was a huge car buff. Mike is survived by his daughter, Megan Goodrich and her husband, Jamon of Reedsville, WV; four grandchildren, Emma, Noah, Annabelle, and Logan; and companion, Sally Spear of Wheeling, WV.
