BECKY LOUISE ERNEST, lovingly known to all as “Bubba,” passed away in Wheeling, West Virginia, at the age of 66 on November 1, 2025 around 2:30 p.m. Born and raised in Wheeling, Becky was a woman whose heart overflowed with love, laughter, and warmth. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who had a way of making everyone feel cared for and understood. Becky gave the best advice honest, wise, and full of heart and she was known for her incredible cooking that brought her family together time and time again. Becky loved the simple joys of life: a cigarette in hand, chips and dip, a French Vanilla Iced Coffee, a nice back scratch, and just the right amount of salt on everything. She enjoyed playing darts, cards, and other games, bird watching, and sitting back to enjoy her favorite sitcoms. She loved the beach, fishing, music, and her dogs especially her beloved pugs. A fond memory of hers is going to a Neil McCoy concert with her daughter, Mandy. And if you ever needed to find her favorite meal, you’d look no further than Sunny Boy’s. Above all, Becky lived for her family. She adored her great-grandchildren and found her greatest happiness in their laughter and company. She is survived by her daughter, Mandy; her grandchildren, Christian (husband Mike), Paula, Savanna (husband Josh), Shane, Mallory, and Keira; and her great-grandchildren Ricardo, Breanna, Kasee, Pablo, Matthew, and Makenzie. She is also survived by her brothers Cliff (wife Sue) and Terry (wife Cynthia); her sisters Tammy (late husband Bill) and Shirley (husband Buddy); and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly. Becky was preceded in death by her loving parents, Beverly and Clifford Rouse; her brother, Frank and sister, Tracy; her grandmother Hildia; and her two sons, Jimmy and Michael. Though her presence will be deeply missed, her family finds peace knowing she is reunited with her loved ones who have gone before her, resting in eternal love and light. She has simply gone ahead to prepare a place for us, where we will all meet again. Family and friends were received on Saturday, November 8, 2025 until the time of the funeral service to celebrate Becky’s life at Chambers Funeral Home, Wellsburg, with Pastor Vernon “Chip” Rose of Metropolitan Baptist Church officiating.
