ANTHONY WADE DODD, 52, passed away on Dec. 4, 2025, in Ellenboro, WV. He was born Nov. 23, 1973, to the late Ronald and Anita Dodd. Despite his mischievous ways, he was a dedicated employee at Simonton Windows, ECM and WalMart Service Center throughout his life. He was always the life of the party and never failed to make anyone laugh with his quick wit. He graduated from Ritchie County High School in 1991, where he was known for his antics both in and out of the classroom. He was the class clown with a heart of gold, always willing to lend a hand or crack a joke to brighten someone’s day. Although he never had children of his own, he was a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews, who adored his playful spirit and contagious laughter. He will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality and his ability to find humor in even the darkest of times. He is survived by his siblings, Jodie McCoy and her husband Dave of Pennsboro and Angela Tennant and her husband John of Wellsburg; nieces, Hannah McCoy, Crystal Cross, Jessica Jacobs and her husband C. J; nephew, William McCoy, great-nieces, Skyla Jacobs and Laurali Nailor; and great-nephew, Noah Mcabee. A celebration of life was held Saturday at the Ellenboro Fire Hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Ritchie County Humane Society in honor of his love for animals and his passion for making people smile.
