LINDA SUE (DIGHT) THOMAS, 77, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away on December 9, 2025 at West Penn Hospital, Allegheny Health Network, Pittsburgh, PA. Linda was born on October 17, 1948 in Wellsburg, WV. She was the daughter of the late Frank Dight and Bernice Dight. For 13 years, Linda greeted others with kindness during her time at McDonald’s Follansbee. Those who knew her will remember her love of puzzle books, her joy in camping, and the many special moments she and her husband, Robert, enjoyed as members of the Brooke County Sportsman’s Club. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her four siblings, Berry Dight, Donald Dight Leslie “Tom” Dight and Beverly Winters. Linda is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert Lee Thomas, Sr.; two children, Lisa Cooper and her husband, Terry of Follansbee, WV and Robert Lee Thomas, Jr. and his wife, Tina of Windsor Heights, WV; two grandchildren, Tristian Thomas and Samantha Handley and her husband, Tim; a great granddaughter, Elli; three siblings: Wayne Dight and his wife, Shirley of St. Clairsville, OH, Doris Jean Bertovich of Wellsburg, and Cynthia Donovall and her husband, Dave of Weirton, WV; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Chambers Funeral Home of Wellsburg was honored and privileged to serve the family with a private visitation and burial at Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg.
