Bonnie Lee Kerr

BONNIE LEE KERR, 82 of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Liza’s Place in Wheeling, WV. She was born on November 6, 1943, in Martins Ferry, OH a daughter of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth (Roth) Clark. In addition to her parents Bonnie is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew M. Kerr; one brother, Donald Clark; one nephew, Brady Clark; and her sister-in-law, Ruth Kerr. She graduated from Warwood High School and went on to earn her RN Degree from the Ohio Valley School of Nursing then earned her bachelor’s of Science and Nursing from Wheeling Jesuit University. Bonnie worked for Weirton Medical Center for 36 years and later worked for Brooke County Schools as a nurse for 20 years. She was an active member of First Westminster Presbyterian Church of Steubenville, OH. She was also a very active member of the Wellsburg Elks 1553, The Osiris Shrine, and The Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 23 with whom she was a Grand Officer for the State of WV. Bonnie was a social butterfly. She loved attending the many civic organization dances of the Elks and Osiris Shrine Organization. Most of all she loved spending time with her family more than anything. Bonnie is survived by two children, Kimberly Kerr and Joel Kerr both of Wellsburg, WV; two brothers, Benjamin (Debbie) Clark and John (Brenda) Clark, both of Warwood, WV; four grandchildren, Devan Coleman, Alexandra (David) Fitzpatrick, Joey and Jared Schweikert; two great grandchildren, August Coleman and Niall Coleman; a great grandchild on the way; a special friend, Sammie Tate; the Golden Girls, Katie O’Connell and Betty Cionni; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation for Bonnie was held on Thursday, December 18, 2025, with the Ladies of the Eastern Star Service being held at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee and again on Friday, December 19, 2025 until the time of funeral service at the First Westminster Presbyterian Church, Steubenville, OH with Rev. Jason Elliott officiating. Interment was held privately in Oak Grove Cemetery, Follansbee. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Liza’s Place for their love and care with Bonnie.
