MARGARET “PEGGY” ANN (OLESKA) HUBBARD, 73, of Wellsburg, WV passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026. She was born on January 27, 1952, in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late Edward W. Oleska and Adeline R. (Loper) Oleska. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Susan L. Oleska, and her nephew Earnest L. Ewing, IV. Margaret was a 1969 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School and Catholic by faith. She went on to earn her nursing degree from Jefferson Technical College in 1988. She last worked for Children’s Youth Services in Wheeling, WV but she devoted the majority of her nursing profession caring for the elderly which she was most passionate about. Her boundless compassion, empathy and nurturing spirit touched the lives of many patients and families. She was always a devoted advocate for her patients and coworkers as well. However, according to her, her greatest accomplishment and joy was her two daughters. She was a constant source of love, wisdom and encouragement. She most enjoyed spending time with her children and her family. Margaret enjoyed traveling abroad with family and friends. She also enjoyed decorating, shopping, art and cuddling with her best furry friend, her dog Halo. While we mourn her loss, we can take comfort knowing her love and memory will live through her children and grandchildren. We are forever grateful for her unconditional love. Margaret is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Lazear of Follansbee, WV and fiancé Dale Shaffer of Harpers Ferry, WV, and Natascha Haddon of Follansbee; four grandchildren: Shawn Lazear and fiancé, India Blackburn, Mackensey Kohout and companion, Zachary Phillips, Martin Wood II, and Colton Beaver; three great grandchildren, Jaiden Lazear, Connor Lazear and Adeline Lazear; one sister, Cynthia J. Hall of Warwood, WV; one brother, Edward W. Oleska “Buster” of Wheeling, WV; a niece, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and her furry companion, Halo, who was her best friend. There was no visitation. All services and inurnment were held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements were under the direction of Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee.
