RUDOLPH EDWIN “RIP” POPEK, III, 68, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at home. Born February 16, 1958, in Weirton, WV a son of the late Rudolph Popek, Jr. and Carmen Elaine (Grist) Popek. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his ex-wife, Doris Diane Orr. Rip graduated from Brooke High School in 1976. He went on serve in the U.S. Navy and later worked as a private contractor for the military. He is survived by his companion, Tammy Standish of Weirton, WV; his service dog and best friend, Oksana; his sister, Randi; and niece, Devin; along with many friends including Doug, and his friends from Planet Fitness.
