Helen Moren, President of GFWCWV Bethany Woman’s Club attended the 120 GFWC West Virginia annual convention, March 13-14, held at The Greenbrier Resort.
The club received first place awards in the categories of newsletter donations, Operation Smile, UNCEF, St. Jude’s Hospital. Scholarshop, Support Fund, and Pennies for Arts.
It received second place in domestic violence and sexual assault, communications and public relations, health and wellness, environment, legislative and public policy, women’s history and resource, and donation 1734.
It received third place on education and libraries, fundraising, and participation in GFWV Measles Mission.
It met all requirements for honor, superior and rhododendron status.
Moren is a past State President.
