BARRY LEE DILLIE, JR., 60, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at his residence under the care of his family with the assistance of Valley Hospice. Barry was born on April 26, 1965 in Washington, PA. He was the son of Rose (Hood) Dillie and Barry Lee Dillie, Sr. Barry spent much of his life on the road, working as a dedicated truck driver. For many years, he drove with Hone and Son Trucking, even owning and operating his own truck—a testament to his strong work ethic and independent spirit. Later, he continued his career with Spirit Energy in Beech Bottom, where he remained a dependable and hardworking presence. Many will remember Barry for the simple joys he cherished most—a cold beer in hand, surrounded by family and friends at a good cookout, especially when fried wings were on the menu. He loved the freedom of riding his side-by-side, embracing the outdoors and the moments that brought him happiness. Above all, Barry treasured time spent with his family. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, bringing him immense pride and joy. It was in those moments—laughing, gathering, and simply being together—that Barry was truly at his happiest. In addition to his father, Barry was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen (Gleason) Dillie and his father-in-law, Istavan Varga and mother-in-law, Jacqueline Varga. In addition to his mother, Barry is survived by his two children, Ashley Dobson and her husband, Kenneth of Wintersville, OH and Barry Lee Dillie III and his fiancé, Breonna Martindill of Wellsburg, WV; seven grandchildren: Tristan Dobson and his girlfriend, Synara, Dierks Dobson, Cameron Dillie, Carlee Dillie, Melody Dobson, Oaklynn Dillie and Laken Dillie; a great granddaughter, Ilyanna Dobson; two brothers, Michael Dillie and his wife, Laurie and Bill Dillie and his wife Betty, all of Wellsburg; two sisters-in-law, Christine Adams of Follansbee, WV and Samatha Kovach of Wintersville; a brother-in-law, Steven Varga of Follansbee; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends were received on Saturday, March 21, 2006 and again on Sunday, March 22, 2026 until the time of the funeral service, at James Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Rich Narus officiating.
