DMV Warns Citizens of New Text Scam

West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles is warning citizens of a new text scam claiming to be DMV and requesting payment. 
The scam requests immediate payment for driving violations and threatens a short deadline suspension of registration and driving privilege, toll collections, service charges, criminal or civil prosecution, and credit score damage. This is not a legitimate message from the agency.
