Elmer Sherman Sandreth

ELMER SHERMAN SANDRETH, 79, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026 at home. Born September 21, 1946, in Wheeling, WV a son of the late Elmer and Edith (Brado) Sandreth. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife, Rebecca Louise Sandreth, and his sister, Connie Salisbury. Elmer graduated from Wellsburg High School the class of 1965. He served his country honorably in the Navy and retired from Weirton Steel Corporation where he worked as a pipe fitter. He was a member of Impact Church. Elmer enjoyed spending time with his family, joining holiday and birthday parties and attending many extracurricular activities with the grandkids. Mostly he enjoyed simple FaceTime with the great grandbabies and just watching them play and have fun with loud contagious giggles. He always said “if your mom was still alive she would absolutely adore these little ones! He is survived by three loving children: Lisa (Michael) Simon of Weirton, WV, Chad (Jenny) Sandreth of East Liverpool, OH, and Micah Sandreth of Follansbee, WV; his devoted companion, Mary Ann Marsella and her family; two brothers, Ronald (Sue) Sandreth of Windsor Heights, WV and Richard (Connie) Sandreth of Beech Bottom, WV; four granddaughters he adored, Emma (Ron) Ferguson, Jenna (Victor) DeCaria, Julianna Simon, and Katelyn (Luke) Gorrell; three great-granddaughters, Ava, Eloise, and Lucia; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Visitation for Elmer was held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee, where funeral services were held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, with Pastor Kendon Alexander officiating.
