EILEEN MARIE REESE, 93, of Weirton, WV, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at WVU Medicine – Weirton Medical Center. Born on June 24, 1932, in Weirton, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna Marie Easlick Slates. In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Lee Reese, in 1987; her son, Douglas A. Reese, in 2023; and her brother, William “Bill” Slates. Eileen was a proud graduate of Weir High School, Class of 1950. Shortly after graduation, she married her high school sweetheart, Donald, before his deployment to serve in the United States Air Force. She was a devoted member of Memorial Baptist Church. While Eileen dedicated much of her life to being a loving homemaker, she also worked for many years at Michael’s Jewelers and the Weirton Christian Center. She was an active and caring Den Mother for her son’s Cub Scout Pack. Eileen found great joy in reading, spending time with her dogs, and faithfully attending her grandchildren’s sporting events, where she was their biggest supporter. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Pamela Drizake; Donald R. Reese (Mary Ann); David L. Reese (Ruth); and Mark E. Reese (Becky); her daughter-in-law, Karen Reese; her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Reese (Kristin), Donnie Reese (Garrett Sandidge), Tyler Reese (Erica), Chelsee Spencer (Jeremy), Michael Drizake, Jessica Bibbo (Anthony), and Ashlynn Drizake; and her great-grandchildren, Kalyn, Jaxson, Savannah, and Jack. Family and friends were received on Saturday, April 11, 2026 until the time of the service, at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home, Weirton, with Rev. Bill Stout officiating. Interment followed at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA, where she was laid to rest beside her beloved husband. Condolences may be left at www.steelandwolfe.com.
