Secretary of State Kris Warner and the division of Highways have reminded all candidates and political committees about the placement of signs on any federal, municipal, county or state-owned property.
According to State Code, political signs are not permitted on government property which includes rights-of-way and roadsides.
Those who are convicted of violating that law are guilty of a misdemeanor and can be fined up to $100 per occurrence per sign.
