ERNEST “ERNIE” STUCIN, JR., 69, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family and friends on April 24, 2026. When Ernie died, all of Wellsburg cried. Whether you needed a helping hand, a listening ear, or simply someone to stand beside you, Ernie was always there. The impact he had on this community is immeasurable- evident in the countless lives touched, houses fixed, and hearts broken. The town mourns deeply but will forever be better for having known him. He was the true meaning of “the salt of the earth.” Everybody’s home has a little piece of “Ern” in it which we will carry with us forever.
