MARK DANIEL BALTICH, 72, of Weirton, WV, passed away at his residence on May 7, 2026, following a lengthy illness. Born on December 11, 1954, Mark was one of three children born to the late S. Daniel and Elnora Louise Mellott Baltich. A lifelong resident of Weirton, he was a graduate of Weir High School where he also played football, and a graduate of Bethany College. Mark dedicated his professional life to Weirton Steel, where he enjoyed a long and respected career in the I.T. Department at the General Offices, as a Senior System Engineer. Known for his intelligence, reliability, and strong work ethic, Mark built many lasting friendships throughout his years there. A member of Saint Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Mark lived his life guided by kindness and compassion. He was warm, engaging, and genuinely loved being around people. Always willing to lend a hand or offer support to someone in need, Mark’s generosity and caring nature touched many lives. Mark also had a passion for physical fitness and was a devoted fan of Alabama Crimson Tide football. Whether at the gym or cheering on Alabama, he approached his interests with enthusiasm and dedication. He is survived by his loving sisters, Kimberly Moore and Lori Baltich, along with many friends and cousins. In keeping with Mark’s wishes, there were no traditional visitation or funeral services. Cremation arrangements were under the direct care of Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made by helping someone in need in Mark’s memory, a fitting tribute to the kindness and generosity he showed throughout his life.
