BARBARA ANN PARRISH, 92, of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at home. She was born on August 28, 1933, in Wheeling, WV a daughter of the late James H. and Anna Louise (Mossgrove) McCullough. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her caring husband, Edgar Devon Parrish; two sisters, Jane Martin and Marcella Miles; four brothers, James McCullough, Robert, Ralph, and Bud Mossgrove; one daughter, Audrey Mitchell; one stepson, Edgar Parrish; and two grandsons. Barbara dedicated her life to her faith and to the care and well-being of her family. She worked at Drovers Inn in the kitchen and had several jobs when younger, including at The Hub in Steubenville, OH and as a telephone operator in San Francsico, CA for a short time. She discovered world travel after her children were grown, and enjoyed several trips to Ireland, Scotland, and Medjugorje, Bosnia and Herzegovina. She always made many friends around the globe whom she had stayed in touch with over the years. Barbara was always happy to share her photos and stories of her many miraculous religious experiences that she had experienced along her journey with Christ; and she is now rejoicing with the Lord! She was a devoted member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Wellsburg, WV. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved will be deeply missed by everyone. She is survived by one son, Joshua Parrish of Beech Bottom, WV; one stepdaughter, Ellen Parrish of Triadelphia, WV; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, John (Melody) Mossgrove of Wellsburg, WV; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation for Barbara will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 10-10:45 a.m., at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. A Catholic funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Wellsburg, with the Rev. Father Justin Golna as celebrant. Interment will follow in Brooke Cemetery.
